Description
Part of a box lot purchase from the estate of an elderly Danish woman who had a lot of blue and white dishes and decor (see photo with other pieces from the same estate as an example of how the solid mixes with patterns). The bowls are marked with what looks like an olive branch or laurel branch. Although my search was not exhaustive, I had no luck in identifying the maker. Nonetheless, they are very nice quality with a beautiful, smooth as silk finish and a deep cobalt blue color. Please note:
Photo 7 – This is the maker’s mark on the underside
Photos 8-9 – one one of the bowls, I don’t see the maker’s mark on the underside, but there is a 6 (or 9?). However, if I hold the bowl up to the light, I can see the number and the mark together.
Photo 10 – The patterned pieces are not included in lot, but shown as an example of pairing the solid bowls with other pieces.
Photo 11 – Shown next to a standard size can of beans for size/scale reference.
