Equipment Policies:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Used Equipment: We stock a
tremendous amount of used equipment. These items fall under different
categories. Some items are in good shape when we receive them and require
minimal cleaning and no refurbishing. Other items require dismantling and
replacement of parts in addition to painting and refinishing. The pictures
posted in our listings are actual pictures of the items for sale and we always
try to describe our items as best as possible. If the picture shows that an
item is missing a red knob on the handle, then don’t expect the item to arrive
with the red knob on the handle.
Our owner has run a successful
Commercial Restaurant Equipment Repair business for over 30 years and tests
each item to be sure it works as it should.  That is not to say that he goes
through the whole wiring diagram and checks every single connection. Products
listed as “Tested & Working” or in working condition are exactly
that. Something like a light bulb not working or a timer bell not functioning
does not affect the working condition of an item and these things may occur.
We encourage buyers to CONTACT US
BEFORE PURCHASING an item to ask as many questions as possible.  An item
may be discontinued or outdated, and the factory/manufacturer may have updated
that particular model. If no current specs or information is available, we will
match it to the closest product. Also, please make sure the item will fit
through your doorways. For example, some double stack convection ovens will not
fit through standard doors and will have to be separated and laid on their side
in order to get it in. You must be prepared to do that. We don’t know your
building and have no way of telling you if it will. We try to put all
measurements on our listings but if they aren’t for some reason please call or
email.
If you receive an item and you are
in any way dissatisfied or have any issues, please contact us right away via
any of the following methods: eBay message system, telephone (Mon-Fri, 9-5), or
Email. Please keep in mind our hours of operation. Within our policies, we are
always willing to make customers happy. If you do not communicate with us, we
cannot help you.
Items listed as “Not
Tested” or “As Is” are exactly that. We have not tested them,
and we do not imply that they work. What you see is what you get.
Shipping Information:
Quotes: Please request a quote for
shipping before bidding or buying an item. Please do not assume how much an
item will cost to ship to you. Most items require freight, NOT FedEx, UPS, or
USPS. There is a crating fee and a crating process, the item must travel
hundreds to thousands of miles, and many factors go into the price of shipping.
You may call or email us, and we will walk you through the process and answer
all of your questions.
You can of course use any shipping
company you choose, and we will work with them.
Crating: A $100 fee will be applied
to your total invoice in order to properly package / crate your item for
shipment.
Shipping Damages: Unfortunately,
shipping damage and total lost is an issue among the freight industry. Even
though we crate, palatalize, and use protective materials on our items, we
sometimes cannot control mishandling or damages that may occur while in
transit. If there is any damage, it must be indicated on the Bill of Lading
that the driver gives you to sign. If you do not examine the merchandise and
you still sign for it, you will NOT be able to file a claim or hold the shipper
responsible. Freight companies are able to deny millions of dollars in damages
because items were not inspected at the time of delivery and were not marked as
“damaged” on the Bill of Lading. If your item has been crated, please
expect to uncrate it and inspect it before the driver has left and before you
sign for it. A driver is obligated to wait. If he or she tries to rush you or
you are in any way unhappy with the delivery, ask to speak to his or her
dispatcher. You may also contact us for assistance.
Shipping Practices: If you are
having your item shipped to a residence, please let us know as freight
companies charge a separate residential delivery fee. If you are running a
business out of your home, you are still classified as a residence. Freight is
generally bulky and heavy. This means that it must be lowered to the ground
from the truck, which is usually 3-5 feet off the ground. If you do not have a
loading dock or a forklift at your delivery site, you will need to use the
truck’s lift gate to lower the item to the ground. Freight companies charge a
separate fee for this service so please let us know if you do or do not require
a lift gate on delivery.
Inside Delivery: Unless you pay for
and make arrangements to have the freight company bring your item(s) inside,
they will not do it. Freight deliveries are sidewalk / curbside only. You must
have the tools and manpower to uncrate your item and bring it inside. The
driver is not required to provide any tools or assistance.
Pick Up Policies: Please read the
listing and make sure you understand the dimensions. It is your job to make
sure the vehicle you arrive in can accommodate the equipment you are picking
up.
We are always more than willing to
assist our clients in loading equipment as long as the vehicle can accommodate
the item(s). Removing wheels, handles, or any dismantling of the item is the
responsibility of the buyer. Please make sure that you are prepared and have
tools, stretch wrap, straps, rope, blankets, cardboard, etc. We do NOT supply
these items.
All equipment is designed to be
transported in its original vertical position. We strongly oppose lying the
item(s) down and/or transporting equipment in any way other than its original
position. There are a few exceptions to this and will inform you if we think it
is safer for shipping to lay it down. If you choose to lay your item down, we
will not be responsible for malfunction or damages.
Payment & Returns:
Payment: We require payment within 1
day of winning the bid. Payment must be paid via PayPal, credit card, or check.
If payment and/ or communication is not made within 1 days, we reserve the
right to cancel the transaction and offer your item to another buyer.
Returns: Returns are only accepted
within 3 days of receiving an item. This does not mean you can return an item
when you decide to open the box or uncrate it after 3 days. Statements such as
“My store has not opened yet” or “By the time I opened the package,
it was over the 3 day period” will not be accepted under any
circumstances. We urge our clients to inspect their merchandise within 24 hours
of receiving it. In the event that a client wishes to return an item based on a
misunderstanding of description, shipping charges will not be refunded under
any circumstances.
The only time we will reimburse
shipping charges will be if an error in the listing was made on our part.
Please keep in mind that if you open the box or package on a new item and in
any way attempt to use it, you will not be able to return it. New items are
drop shipped from the factory / manufacturer / distributor and they have very
strict rules about accepting a used product. They have trained people that will
know if it has been used. In some cases, they will allow a return but will
institute a restocking fee (generally between 25 – 50%).
Repairs: Please note that at the
time of arrival of the merchandise, equipment shall be deemed property of the
seller. We do NOT authorize any diagnosis or repair on the merchandise without
our written consent. Any unauthorized tampering or repair(s) will void any
return. Buyer cannot say “I needed the item to work so I had my guy fix it
and here is the bill.” This is simply unfair and wrong. If you receive a
product and it does not work, you must contact us within 1 business day. We
will either authorize work to be done and pay partial or full repair cost
(based on the cost of repair in relation to the actual value of the item) or we
will offer a return for a refund.
We ship to all 48 Continental
States.
Needed for Shipping:
-Complete shipping address including
business name.
-A contact person and phone number
for delivery.
-You must specify if address is
commercial or residential.
Most equipment is shipped on a
pallet. We need to know if you need a liftgate for delivery or if you have a
dock or way of unloading.
We ship within 1-3 business days of
confirmed funds unless otherwise noted in listing.
It is the buyer’s responsibility to
make payment directly to Freight Quote and deal with any shipping problems that
arise.
PLEASE NOTE: The majority of the items
that we sell on eBay are used and may contain small scratches, scuffs, residual
grease or dents. Do not expect equipment to look 100% brand new when you
open the box. We make every attempt to disclose any major issues with
items.  Please review the pictures closely and do not hesitate to call or
email with additional questions.
If you are having it shipped, the
charges are to be paid by the buyer, but we will be glad to work with any
shipper you choose. If so, there will be an additional $100.00 crate fee.
We will give a free 15-day warranty
for equipment delivered within a 50-mile radius of downtown Houston, Texas, but
the Warranty will not cover abuse or misuse. We cannot offer any warranty to
items delivered or installed outside of the Houston area and these should be
considered sold AS IS.
Please inspect your purchased item
when it arrives for any damage and contact your shipping company immediately,
as it is the buyer’s responsibility to file shipping damage claims with the
shipper.
